CULTURE:      Needs well-prepared bed, good drainage and protection from freezing weather.

USES:            Shade gardens, Oriental gardens, tropical effects, and coarse texture.

PROBLEMS:   Aphids on new growth and freeze damage. Severe winter can kill this plant.
