HABIT:  Delicate, woodsy-type flowers that bloom on long stems from lacy foliage. Dies to ground at frost, returns the following spring.

CULTURE:  Loose, well-drained soil. Light water and fertilizer requirements.

USES:  Color in shady area.

PROBLEMS:  Few if any.

NOTES:  A. canadensis is the red-and-yellow-flowered native and is very carefree. A. chrysantha is the pure yellow native that gets 24-36" tall.
