Herbs Grown Inside for Winter Season
 Bay
There are several culinary and medicinal herbs that can be grown indoors during winter. Usually there are no needs for special lights because herbs do fine in a bright window or under a skylight.
Because herbs are so easy to grow, especially with the natural organic program, they are an excellent choice for any beginning gardener. Advanced gardeners can also appreciate herbs and their easy growing nature and will grow herbs as companion plants for some of their other plants in the indoor garden.
Herbs in pots make great holiday gifts. Other related gifts could include trowels, hand clippers, organic seeds, gardening books, Garrett Juice, THRIVE, BioWash, garden gloves and organic potting soil. Find these suggestions and other natural organic gifts for the holidays in the Green Living Store.
Here are some of my favorite herbs for growing indoors until you can plant outside again. By the way, the potted plants can be moved out to the garden in the spring. Aloe Vera, Basil, Bay, Chervil, Chives, Mint, Oregano, Parsley (Curly & Italian), Rosemary, Sage and Thyme. Click here for list and descriptions.
