Leopard Plant




Ligularia tussilaginea 'Gigantea'  (lig-yew-LAR-ee-ah  sten-oh-SEF-ah-lah)
Synonyms:  Farfugium japonicum 'Giganteum'

Habit:  Evergreen foliage plant with very large, rounded, leathery leaves and daisy-like yellow flowers in late summer to early fall. It looks great in the border or in containers. This plant is similar to the species plant except the leaves are larger. Height 1 ft. to 3 ft. Spread 1 ft. to 3 ft. Has moderately fast growth.



Culture:  Provide full to partial shade and moist, well-drained, fertile soil.

Propagation:  By division in spring or by seed.

Problems:  Slugs. Parts of this plant are poisonous if ingested.
