un to part shade. Height 12” Spread 12”.

Various colors of flowers on hollow stems in summer and fall, usually after rain or a climate change. White is the most common, also available in yellow, pink and rose. Bright green rush-like leaves. Plant in fall in masses for best results. Need some water but are fairly drought tolerant. Foliage looks like chives or thin liriope.
Most require alternating periods of dry followed by moist to trigger blooming. From Zephros whom was the Greek god of the west wind and the word anthos which means flower. Hence Zephyranthes means flower of the west wind. Related to amaryllis.
