Use a soap with tea tree oil in it and it will kill mites on people and pets.
Check if you have a local soap factory that makes an organic olive oil soap with tea tree oil in it.
This soap also works on chiggers if you dip a small spounge and rub it right on the chigger and let it on your skin until the itching stops.
