CULTURE:  Plant before last frost in well-prepared beds with good drainage. Needs high fertilization for best blooms.

USES:  Summer flowers, pots, hanging baskets.

PROBLEMS:  Cutworms, caterpillars, and summer heat.

NOTES:  There are more heat tolerant varieties and cultivars available. Native to South America.
