STRAWBERRY BUSH 

(Euonymus Americana) 

Deciduous shrub for sun to partial shade, native to many woodland areas along the Gulf Coast region. Bright green oval and smooth leaves turn brilliant fall colors reliably (red, orange, and yellow).  Flowers May – June greenish purple, inconspicuous.  Fruits in fall-winter, red 1 inch capsules that split open revealing 4 – 5 reddish seeds. Grows to a height of 3’.
