Soften Soil


Lime is probably the worst choice possible to soften our hard soil. That soil is already extremely high in calcium. Sulfur at 5 lbs per 1000 sq ft applied in late winter/early spring, and again in early summer should be applied. Dry molasses and aerated compost tea will also help.
