Surfactant

Surfactant (Wetting Agent): A chemical used to alter pesticide sprays to reduce the surface tension of the liquid, thereby enabling it to spread out more readily over the plant leaf surface. Surfactants are also used to improve the initial wetting of soil. Donít overuse because surfactants and soaps are hard on beneficial soil organisms.
