We seem to have a problem with gnats in the house...especially in the kitchen. I don't know of anything that is attracting them. How can I control them organically?

If they are fruit flys then remove the food source and clean with a citrus cleaner. If that is not what they are then you may be dealing with a drain fly. In this case then you will need to treat the drains. You can use bleach but bleach will kill all the beneficial microorganisms within the drain that help to break down other substances. There are biological drain gels that are very effective and you can get these at locations that sell commercial cleaning products. If you can find it use Bio-Mop. If not you might try pouring a concentrated citrus product down the drains for a couple of days untill the problem is gone. If you do use bleach then treat each drain with half a cup of bleach for at least 3 days once a day. Before you do all this make sure they are not coming off an interior plant.
