I heard on an Austin radio station that a company can inject a co-polymer gel into the soil that has the capability of absorbing 400% of it weight in water. It's suppose to aid in providing water to lawn areas during drought periods. Has any one heard about this product? Used It? Please share your thoughts and comments. :?

Seems like a bad idea to me. The best thing to do, in my opinion, is to keep the soil healthy and water deep and infrequently with native or well adapted grasses, groundcovers, etc. Once established, plants require less water and trees require even less.
