Does anyone know which plants tend to have deeper roots?
I know that dandelion has a great tap root that grows very deep, but I would like more than just dandelion to help reduce run-off during heavy rain!
Little bluestem and other native grasses are great as well, but I would prefer something with flowers.
Can anyone help? I realize that soil structure has a lot to do with this, but plants are better than just mulch (unless it is close to a tree trunk)! :wink: |
