I introduced many people to Blueberry Hill Farm last year in an article I wrote for Howard's newsletter. It is a certified Organic blueberry farm about a 90 minute drive from Dallas. Jill and Jerry Graves are the owners, very nice people. Unfortunately, his blueberries suffered the same fate as my peaches and plums, Frosty got them. He thought the second variety which comes in a little later would produce but it didn't happen. Jerry asked me to pass the word around to avoid some disappointed travelers.
Does anyone know of a farm near Dallas that has blueberries? I'm to a point now where I can't expect organic but that would be nice.

Tony: It is getting a little late in the year for blue berries, but there is another farm in Hooks Tx (close to Ar farm you mention). They are great people and they they go after the first blue berries in Metroplex market each spring. I doubt if they are organic but they produce the big Rabbit Eye berries. Their Family name is Ramage - Farms. The two boys are Bart and Brent.
They also have a Sat in the fall for visiting the farm with arts & crafts and farm products. They do jellies and gift baskets and home made fudge - to die for.
Call them and see if they have any berries left.

I believe that Jerry's place near Mineola, TX is called "Blueberry Ridge." Blueberry Hill Farms is near Edom and is NOT certified organic as far as I know. Their Web site doesn't really say whether they are picking this year, but a quick call at (903) 852-6175 should answer that.

Enzyme11-
You're right about the name, "Blueberry Ridge", thanks for covering for me.

Blueberry Hill Farm is in Edom and they were picking this year. The one I picked at, however, because they were a little cheaper was on Hwy. 64 "just south" of Ben Wheeler (about 8 mi. south of Canton) buy BEFORE Edom. They blueberries were VERY, very plentiful. I don't know if either of them are organic or not. Altho BB season is over for this year, thought you may want to make note of it for next yr.

The one on 64 allows picking on Wed.-Sun.
