| Small completely dead spots have begun to appear in my fescue lawn lately. New spots seem to appear over night. Roots are intact, but the grass appears completely dead. Can brown spot attack fescue or is it some other problem that I need to address. Thanks for the advice guys and gals. |

Mysterious grass death is usually caused by a fungus. Ordinary corn meal will deal with it. Apply at 2 pounds per 100 square feet. You can often get it in bulk at a feed store for $5 for 50 pounds.
If it is not a fungus, then it is an insect or insect larva. Try beneficial nematodes for the bug solution. |
