For about the last 3 weeks, I have had tiny (smaller than a flea) brown bugs congregating around all of my bathroom drains. I have tried orange oil, neem, baking soda and vinegar, as well as a drano product. These seem to help for a day or two and then come back. I read the other poster who thought she had seewer beetles, but unlike her, I live in Lakewood and am connected to City of Dallas water lines. I also read Leslies response- these are not small roaches, I haven't seen a roach in my house in over two years. I am fanatical about cleaning and vacuuming, but nothing I have used as of yet seems to work. I have thought about calling the water department, but I am not optimistic about getting help from them. Has anyone ever had a problem like this? :Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

| Are these tiny critters segmented like pillbugs and do they hop like fleas? |

they do not hop, they crawl- I do not have a magnifying glass, so I can not tell if they are segmented or not. Thanks for your help-

This will only be a temporary fix as well, but have you tried hydrogen peroxide?
I am dumbfounded about what they are and where they come from. Too bad you do not have a camera with microscopic capabilities so you could take a picture of these critters... |
