Does anyone know how to get rid of these bugs? I'm talking about the grubs that get into the ears of corn and eat from the top down. I have tried some inorganic poisons and have had very little success. Does anyone know of an organic solution?
Thanks |

| What I am tring this year for the first time is mixing some Bt into a bottle of water with a dropper tip, and dropping some into the tops of the ears when the silks first start emerging. I won't know until I harvest whether or not it works, but I bet it will. |

| What dragonfly has done sounds great. I bet it will work. The inorganic poisons never do what they say they will, just damage. JungaHungry: were you actually going to eat this? |

When I was in the Marine Corps JROTC my gunny told us the only stupid questions are the ones that go unasked.
Bt is Bacillus thuringiensis.

Now, about that answer. Well, at least you did not get a chance to eat that poison. :) |

| Thanks 'all. I'll give that Bacillus thuringiensis a try. I've got a new crop already started, poison free. 8) |
