Crepe Myrtles won't bloom!

I have 4 Crepe Myrtles that won't bloom. The buds come out then dry out and turn brown. Any suggestions? :?

Gonna need a little more info there.

Are these new to you (as in you've recently planted them, last few months or so) or are they already established in their current location?

Have they bloomed previously but this year they aren't?

What sort of soil/sunlight are we talking?

These are well established trees - 10+ years. They are in full sun in flower beds around the house. The soil is good, and not piled up around the trunk. Only one would I suspect too much water - it sits next to the outside water faucet. They bloomed the first few years, but after an attack of the grasshoppers, they have not really come back. I have seen a white powdery mold (?) on them and have sprayed with compost tea. After some reading, will spray with baking soda to see if the white powdery stuff goes away. (Have this stuff on other plants too.) We have been able to control the grasshoppers the last few years, but to no avail. The leaves are not a rich green like they used to be, too. Some are looking rather faded. I have sprayed with Garrett Juice as well.

Sounds like you're on the right track.

Hit them with the sick tree treatment besides doing that baking soda (or potasium bicarbonate if you can find it) treatment for possible mold/fungus.
