I am about to landscape around our new pool. I need suggestions for something that would help hide the new fence, be evergreen, take sun, and have a shallow or non-invasive root system. Any thoughts?

Are there any good sources that would discuss local plants for around the pool?

Well...I'm thinking holly's or possibly nandina's if you like them. I'd stay away from any "flowering" bush/tree like crepe's etc. or flowering vines for 2 reasons: keeping the pool clean and because flowers attract bees (not good for entertaining or if you have kids). :D

I'm not sure how much room you have to work with, maybe if you could tell me more about the space I might be able to give you more ideas. I've designed a few pool areas, sometimes they can be challenging.
