By all means toss the sugar out on the yard. It will be just fine.

| Sugar should go out at about 10lbs per 1000 square feet. If you put it out too heavy, it will stimulate too much biological activity and it will burn your lawn. Some people use a heavy spot application to get rid of crabgrass or other weeds. |
