Howard often talks about "The Missing Link" product which provides the essential Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. I went to a website to read up on it and I'm confused about how much to buy and how much I should take daily. The information started talking about human consumption and then said that a 5lb. bag was enough for 2 months for an average size horse!
I understand that this is for human and animals but I need some distintion on the amounts and the best place to buy it. Thanks. |

I've seen it recommended at 2-3 tablespoons per day for adults, 1 teaspoon per day for young children, which can be increased as desired up to 1 desertspoon per day, and up to 2 desertspoons per day for older children.
Each tablespoon is claimed to have 1 gram of Omega-3 fatty acids, besides what other lipids it might contain, so one might want to keep an eye on the oxidation balance in settling on a dosage.
I've seen what appeared to me to be a credible theory for making flax meal (which I assume is in TML) water soluble and thereby increasing the absorption efficiency. The idea is to mix the flax meal with a liquid protein source before taking it. I believe the theory was to bond on the sulfur moeity in the amino acids (mostly methionine and cysteine). Whether there are ingredients in TML that would mess with that linkage, I don't know. |

It is really great stuff. I take 2 tablespoons a day. You can get it at health food stores and Redenta's has it too, I think. Feed stores will often have it, too. Check out the business directory and call around for a store near you.
