| I have carpenter ants outside inside columns supporting my patio. Howards suggestions are for inside only. How do I get rid of these guys? They appear to be dropping small wood particles to the ground from indide the column. HELP!!! |

I might get hit for this suggestion, but...... :roll:
Wrap the column in plastic loosely then set off a bug bomb.
Repair damage to column ASAP to avoid reinfestation. |

| My suggestion would be to get some Timbor and dust around the base of the columns as well as any entry points around the top. You could use boric acid powder but on exterior locations you do have to be carefull not to get boron toxicity within soil areas. Timbor can also give you that same toxicity but it would take more of the timbor to do so and that type of powder does not flow as easily as boric acid. Also you could use timbor in a 15% solution and spray the columns. |

Where would I find same?
How well does it penatrate into the nest area? |
