It's green, but not that deep green...
My neighbor uses regular fertilizers, and his grass looks great. Granted, it may not last very long, we'll see.
My yard is green, but it has a yellow tint/haze to it. Am I not watering enough? I put down some organic fertilizer in June, and it didn't visually make that big a difference.
Anything else I should/can do? |

If you put it down in late June, the greening effect should just now be kicking in.
Have you had a lot of rain? It could be the iron is tied up. If you've had a lot of rain, I would suggest applying greensand. But if the neighbor has green grass, then it is probably not a general iron problem. |

Well my neighbor just hit his yard good with some miracle grow fertilizer or something, not sure.
I applied greensand and fertilizer in June.
I also think I havent' been watering enough as there are a couple small brown spots showing up. Going to try and bump the watering schedule up a little with this heat.
Should I let it grow taller now as well?
I have Bermuda Grass... |

Bermuda will fare much better when kept short @ 1". I attempted to "train" an area of my Bermuda to grow taller, but was not successful.
Though my lawn is green, it is not necessarily the greenest lawn on the block. Using the high nitrogen synthetic fertilizers may impart an unnaturally dark green color to those yards. My question is, does my lawn color look healthy? |

| I would suggest that instead of bumping up the watering frequency, instead you just water twice as long. With the hurricane and all the afternoon thunderstorms, we haven't watered except once since June first. But when I do, I water for at LEAST an hour and more. |
