| I am new to organic gardening (1 year) and in May added a fairly large perennial bed in our back yard. I excavated the soil, added compost, lava sand and Texas greensand, then planted all Texas natives. I am so impressed with the results! The bed is beautiful, however, I made the mistake of putting some of the plants too close together. I would like to transplant some of these to make more room. When is the best time to do this? :oops: |

| In Fall after it cools off. They will have time for the roots to get re-established, and the heat won't stress them. Plus they will be much more likely to bloom well next Spring and Summer. |
