I was reading one of my favorite publications last night - "Organic Gardening" published by Rodale...and there is a regular feature there on composting in this magazine. As I was scanning the page, there was a very familiar face, smiling out at me - our very own Captain Compost in glossy color, with his compost gleaming and steaming for all the world to see! I must say tha I "puffed up" a little bit, knowing that we have such a reknown expert in our midst - and that he is so willing to share his knowledge and experience with us.
It was a treat to see you in a publication like "Organic Gardening", Captain Compost!

Thank you so much!
I'm just an advanced student with a passion for poop! (LOL) I still feel like a lot of other organic gardening people, I'm still learning and love sharing the little knowledge that I do know about this fascinating art and science of hot composting and compost tea brewing.

I hope the great Rodale corporation can build up their ratings and regain their audience with these latest issues featuring some of their top gardening forum fans like myself. I think it's a shame that a great legend like Rodale and his family business, farm, and publications have loss their original flavor of total advanced organic knowledge and appeal that they had during the 1960-1980's.

Now there are other natural gardening sites that reach larger audiences of people, and have great modern incite on sustainable agriculture for the more aggressive composter and organic gardener.

Just like this great website!

Happy Gardening everybody!

The local botanical gardens library always keeps the latest issues of OG magazine for readers to check out free, here in the Birmingham area.

Also all the major book stores in the mall will let you read the latest issue of their magazines free, to see if you want to buy it. I do it all the time. That's where I bought my copy.
