| just today I spotted two HUGE spiders indoors. is the heat forceing them in? i dont know what kind- seemed to have a lightish brown color and a lighter, almost white design on the back. bodies about 50 cent piece in size! i have seen this type of spider before but never that big! what is it? od they bite? why are they coming in? :cry: |

| The spider you are describing is what my Mom always called a grass spider, and I've heard a couple of other names for them. I've never been bit by one, and can't honestly say if they are proned to biting or not. I always catch them in a jar and put them back outside. I think they are probably looking for a water source when it gets this hot and dry, because they always start coming in the house about this time of year. |
