I have 1.2 acres i need to have surveyed before i can begin construction of my new home. does anyone have a reference or does Howard Garett have a company that does this sort of work. The property is in Westlake, TX. (near DFW airport).
It consists mostly of Post Oaks, some pinetrees, various other plants and shrubs. I would like to know what is on the property as well as how to care for it and help it to survive construction.
Thanks, TH |

tracy herrin-
Go to Howard's home page and do a search on Trees Alive. Or contact him at trees@dirtdoctor.com.
There are several books that show you how to protect native plants during construction. The best is by Andy Wyskowski(sp). Also, you might want to contact the native plant societies, there are several that are close to your property, and ask if someone wants to make a couple of extra bucks. They may do it for free if they can did a few plants up.
