I'm fairly new to the organic lawn care. I thought I was to put down corn gluten meal, around sept. ( my bag has rating of 9-0-0), but then I read that you should not use a weed & feed with a high nitrogen rating. so..???
I did try the corn gluten meal last year and ended up with a yard full of weeds. What am I missing???

CGM used now at 40 pounds per 1,000 square feet, will take care of winter and spring weeds. CGM used in early spring will take care of summer weeds.
You can get better control of weeds by watering deeply (hour at a time) and infrequently (no more often than once a week) and by mowing at the mower's highest setting. |
