I have a friend who works at the local zoo where I can get all the elephant dung I would ever want. I have not started a compost pile or ever composted because I always buy my compost by the yard from a local garden center. I have always wanted to compost. If I were to attempt to compost the elephant dung is there anything in particular that I should be aware of or look out for. My wife has warned against it she is afraid of the smell and possible run off after a rain. I really enjoy this forum.

Family2004,

Welcome to the forum! I believe they call that ZooDoo, not dung or manure :D If you can get it home and have some carbon source to mix with it, I'll bet it will make a wonderful finished product.
