I am getting ready to go buy everything I need to put on my lawn for pre-emergent/bio-stimulant/fertilizer for fall and I need to know if ya'll can help me? I don't understand how to figure out how much of everything I need? Also, I don't know how (don't laugh) to figure out how big my yard is. I know my house is about 2500 sq. ft. and that i could probly fit two or three of them on all the lawn. So I guess I have roughly 7500 sq. ft. How do I figure out how much 'stuff' I need and then put it in a spreader?

Many thanks!

You want pre-emergent/bio-stimulant/fertilizer. Fortunately you can have all three in one product, corn GLUTEN meal.

If you use it at 40 pounds per 1,000 square feet you will have a very stimulated, very fertilized, yard.

If your lot is 100 feet wide by 100 feet long, you multiply the two numbers and get 10,000 square feet. Subtract out the area for the house, sidewalks, patio, deck, garage, swimming pool, and driveway to get the yard area. Your guesstimate as to your yard size is probably good enough for now. For 7,500 square feet you will need to multiply 40 pounds per 1,000 times 7,500 square feet to get 300 pounds of CGM. That is six, 50-pound bags. Knowing that you need to apply all 300 pounds of it, it does not matter how well your spreader works, you just continue spreading it evenly until it is all gone.
