Hi Ya'll
I discovered some brown/black bodied catepillars with white fuzz and reddish heads hatching out & stripping our Pecan tree. I shot Ammonia/Vinegar/dishwashing soap on them to no avail.
Any suggestions? They quit eating, but they didn't die.
Thanks

| Get some Bt Kurstaki product like Thuricide by Bonide and spray it on the treeASAP. It's a beneficial bacteria that the caterpillars will ingest and it causes them to stop eating and die. Put it on in the evening as UV rays kill it. Adding a little molasses will do some good too. Hope this message found you in time! |

| And from now on be sure you protect all the wasps you find in your neighborhood. Paper wasps eat caterpillars. |
