[b]One last question I have. If I plant bulbs and after the tulips bloom, are the bulbs good for next season? If so, do I need to cut the stem? what do I have to do?
Thanks

They are still good. Fertilize with a combination of rock phospahate and organic fertilizers and compost.... a little cornmeal to prevent rot would not hurt.

DO NOT cut off the stems until they turn brown! but do take off the seed pod at the top so that energy goes into the bulb, not the seedpod. Leave the green parts be until they die back - they are feeding the bulb and the bulb will suck the nutrients back out when they die off.

Have fun!
