Crepe Myrtles are probably one of the easiest plants to propogate outside of an Ivy. Basically I take one of the new shoots that are constantly coming up and put them in water. After a few weeks they should begin to root. You can take a clipping of the plant but I have had more luck with the shoots. Then once they have a good root structure plant them in a pot or the ground. I usually plant them in a pot until they are about 2-3 feet tall then I transplant them. They will grow faster in the ground though. They tend to do better in the pot in my case.
