:) Now that I am becoming an old lady, I would like to make rhubard
pie, as once a wonderful neighbor lady made pie for me. That was
in Illinois. Does rhubarb grow here? can you share tips. thanks

Yes, it does grow here but not as it did in Illinois. You have to grow the plant as an annual, it will not come back year after year. If you want to try it, let me know.
Given the amount of work and the cost involved, you may want to buy it fresh at the organic produce section or look for some good frozen stuff.
