I priced it at a farm and feed store and was shocked at the price. Isn't this just a leftover by product? I think for my acre of land it was going to be around 200. I was going to use it as a pre-emergent and soil amendment. Is anyone else a little miffed about this pricing?

It's hard for me to be miffed about supply and demand. If you lived in Ohio you could get it for about $8/100#. Or you could have it shipped from Ohio for an additional $50/100#.

They got us. I just don't use it.

As I am always trying to save, I was curious if CGM would be real cheap in central Illinois. That is where I was transplanted from. I return there every January and June. Perfect to pick up the 4-8 bags I would need and at the right time frame. Any input on this? I know central Illinois where I am from is surely corn heaven. Would I just check feed stores, or posssibly mills. I will make some calls to find out. I would have room for that.

I'll bet if you could get it cheap enough, some people on this site would buy it from you if you could haul enough back.

I did some checking. I found one who sells 50# BAGS FOR $16.25 which is $32.50 per 100#. I also found bulk for $465 per ton, bagged into 100# bags. That is $23.25 per 100# bags. Is that as cheap as I should expect? I understand everyone in north TX is saying around $5o per 100#. What do you think? I have a trailer, and I am up there anyway!
