Is it too late, yes & no. It is too late for some weeds and OK for others. Keep in mind that it also acts as an excellent fertilizer! For a pre-emergant, make sure you use CORN GLUTEN meal, not CORN MEAL! They are two differant products.

..and if you have a choice between the larger granular corn gluten meal and the finer powder form of it, then go with the powdered variety. Even granualized forms of it that claim to break down readily take longer than the powder does. With either form try for a calm day since both will be messy when broadcasting it. Water deeply after you've applied it and you're good to go.

I mix mine- use the fine powder and mix it with Volcanite. Needed to put down some volcanaite anyhow, and when mixed before spreading, it helps anchor the CGM so it doesn't blow around so much. I do the same thing when putting down dry humate, which is also light, powdery, and will blow around quite a bit if not anchored.

This way you get the benefit of the agent you wnated to put down anyhow, AND you get all the good stuff in Volcanite (Iron, lava sand, high paramagnetic energy, etc) too.

If you can't get Volcanite Lava Sand makes a good mixer too.
