I have a question re: the use of lime.
I would like to try it in my diaper pail. I have a daycare and have tried everything. I tossed all the commercial diaper pails I had tried- none effect on odor- and bought a large stainless trash can with a foot pedal. I have been very pleased!! No odor!! UNTIL you open the lid.
I've tried baking soda. No effect. A product called Odor-cide (I think it's enzymes) helped slightly.
I remembered my relatives used lime in their outhouse and thought I'd try it. Has anyone else used it for this purpose? Was it effective?
I also wondered if it would deteriorate the plastic trash bag.
Any safety concerns like breathing the dust or anything? And last, there is pulverized and horticultural. Either better suited for this purpose?
Thanks!!

I wanted to follow up with this.
I got lime yesterday and sprinkled about a quarter cup in the pail, which was reeking. I opened the lid this morning and NO odor. It worked!!
I bought the horticultural lime at ACE hardware.
I read on the package that it loosen soil. Which is better, lime or epsom salt? Anyone tried both for that purpose?
