| hello everyone ! just wanted to check in & see if anyone has tried oyster shell as a soil amendment.bought a 50 lb. bag today for less than $8 so i figured i'd give it a try.i realize it will break down very slowly, but am limited to what is available in my area (south louisiana).mention organic anything & the garden center/feed store crowd look at you like a chicken looking at a card trick ! thanks to all who offer their experience,revg62 |

I don't see why it would not help, but I have no idea.
However we are using sea water and it is wonderfull - complete fertilizer with traceminerals (92), amino acids, enzymes, beneficial bacteria. It makes the perfect vitamin mineral supplement.
