In turning over our compost we found grubs. Won't they hurt my fruit trees that we're using the compost on? I thought grubs would eat the root system of plants.

Are the "grubs" dark colored? If they are, they are likely the larvae of the Soldier Fly, a beneficial.

No - they are the big white grubs.
