Hey guys!

Can I assume that any type of fungal growth is a good sign? I just finished blending all of the leftover halloween candy and i got smart - I put all of my saved orange peels and some yucky green beans in the blender with a big glass of water to break down the orange peels quicker for the pile. Well, surprise suprise, when I got to the compost pile I found little clumps of these things which I assume are mushrooms of some sort. What do ya'll think?

Christina

Oh, I tried to get the upload of the image to work but had no luck. sorry.

I think you are correct. It sound like it is just decaying organic matter like the ones people find in their turf and is nothing to worry about.
