I am in zone 8 in Abbott, Texas. We have a large earth pond and I need to plant a groundcover on the slope going into the pond. I thought about english ivy, but it will probably fry in the summer here. Then I thought about asian jasmine, but it would die back in the winter. So I need an evergreen groundcover that would do well on the edge of the pond. Any suggestions? I was thinking about Purple Wintercreeper, but I'm not sure if it does well in my zone. Thanks for any help you can offer!
