Here is a fertilizer that has worked for me in the past, it is pretty basic but good.
1 part dry molasses
1 part humate
1.5-2 parts corn meal
I felt that I got just as good results as any of the brand-name fertilizers.
In this I would throw in any left over meal that I have such as alfalfa meal or pellets. I dont know if the extra stuff helped all that much since it doesnt amount to much, it was probably psychosomatic. : )
Lets hear some recipes from others out there and what the effects were. |

| I use the same 3 ingredients but 1/3 of each. Mix it all together and spread using a fertilizer spreader. I find it is less dusty if mixed and easier to spread. The humate I get is a little moist so the cornmeal will soak up it up and dry it out. Spreads better. It is much cheaper then commercialy prepared organic fertilizer. I buy 50 lbs bags of each ingredient. For 150 lbs I only spend about 24 dollars. This way I know there are no 'extras' added to the fertilizer. |

Yes there is, but I don't recall the name since I emptied it into the buckets. Next trip I make to the feed and seed store I will get some more and let you know. All I remember is that it comes in a plastic 50 lbs bag.
Sorry about that. |
