For anyone interested, Here in Waxahachie Tx. a man sells cotton burr compost for 20 dollars a ton. He's located south of town, at his cotton gin. He has plenty of it. For specific directions you may email me .

Do you happen to know if any chemical defoliants were used in harvesting the cotton? Seems like some growers do that in warmer climates, and some growers in the high plains don't have to do it because the first frost usually occurs at the right time. If it's "ol' natural" its a great deal.

You know I didn't think about that. But I do remember seeing a quick defoliation of the cotton around here, just before harvesting. I would assume they do use some sort of herbicide.

I'm sorry I lost his name and number, but I'll try to get it soon, I don't live far from him. If you want directions I can give them to you.
