Fortunately, grass-fed/pasture-raised beef without synthetic chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, and no corn/grain is available!

In the past, grass-fed just meant that the grass or forage was 80% or more of the primary energy source throughout the animal's life cycle. The USDA is working on a requirement that is 99%, and will be controlled by the Govt--like Certified Organic is now.
Those who don't want Govt control may look to "pasture-raised" or the "Certified Naturally Grown" label that's administered by farmers for farmers, without the high costs and paperwork of Govt.
FYI--It's my understanding Mr. Slanker does not raise all the animals he sells. But neither does Joel Salatin.
