I doubt that we will have a freeze in this area; we might have some frost so you should be prepared to deal with it!

The last freeze date in the DFW area I believe is around 29 March.

For Sweetwater: Freeze dates: First date - 9 November and the Last date - 2 April.

For what it's worth, the news last night projected that the last freeze has come and gone, at least for the DFW area.

I sat through 20 minutes of mindless drivel to get that one tidbit of information, so I thought I'd pass it on.

Hi, new to the forum but not new to organic gardening.

My Dad always told me that if the mesquite trees have budded than we will not have another freeze.

I've heard that too. Mesquite is always conservative.
