I have a number of blackberry vines (either Brison or Roseborough) that bear very well every year, but they are pretty sour. Is there something I can add to the soil to produce a sweeter berry? My soil is the typical black soil of this North Texas area.

You might be able to change the color of the plants but not the taste. Start over with something you like. You might want to contact Womack Nursery in DeLeon, TX. I just bought 3 varieties there. They have many.
