After hearing Howard discuss the benefits of feeding D.E. to pets I went to Silk's feed store in Dallas to buy some. Silk's said the State has made their D.E. supplier change the product label and that the product can no longer be recommended as a food supplement. Silk's also said the product they now carry is the same as the old product with the exception of the label change. What language should I look for on the D.E. package label to indicate the product will not be harmful to my dog if I use it as a food supplement? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have not heard what you have related, but my understanding is that any DE is ok, as long as it has nothing to do with swimming pools. I just buy 50lb from my feed store. Before you say that is to much for your needs, my price is 16 dollars for 50lb. When we bought DE in 10 or 15 lb plastic containers, we paid more that 16 bucks.
Our animals have been on DE for 8 years. For those of you who know what a bot fly is, we haven't had one in 6 years.

Having not done so good in Chemistry -- I am confused on the amount to feed my dogs. Both are small around 12 lbs. I was told 2% but didn't know if that was there weight or the foods weight.
Thanks to anyone that replies.
Ps. I am new to join but have been reading for awhile. |
