Has anyone tried Cornmeal to keep algae from growing in a swimming pool? Does it work on all algaes or just green. I get sporadic growths of green, yellow, and black in my pool. Pool companies sell No Phos, which limits phosphtes in a pool. From what I understand of cornmeal, it does the same thing.

Thanks, Jim

Someone called Howard several weeks ago on his radio show regarding this. From what I remember, it was working. You would need to put the cornmeal in a "sock" of some type to keep it from going all over your pool & possibly clogging your filter. I would recommend calling Howard on Sat. or Sun. to get an update.
