Tomatoe blossums not setting fruit

I have plenty of blossums but no fruit. How can I get them to set?

The temperatures have to be in the right range for tomato blossom set (I think in the 80's). They also are wind pollinated, so if you're not getting good fruit set at the right temps, try using a stick to tap the tomato cages daily. Just a few taps to make the vines vibrate or shake should work.

Plant some crushed up egg shells in the bottom of the hole when you plant your tomato and them add crushed up eggshells to the soil throughout the growing season. If you haven't done this them boil some eggshells, I use maybe a dozen eggshells, let the water cool them dilute with more water and water your plants with this to add Calcium to the soil. Tomatoes need Ca to set their flowers and form fruit otherwise lots of flowers that fall off. Good luck

Generally, the soil in this region is so high in calcium that it's not a concern. Just curious, did you ever get any tomatoes from your plants?

Got some huge tomatoes. I continue to feed eggshells to my plants throughout the season. And have gotten lots of maters. This year might be different because it has been so hot and dry even though I have watered. Some tomatoes do well in hotter weather than others. My Florida Petites have tomatoes all over them. The Chadwick Cherries are doing well and keeping flowers but the Brandywines are dropping flowers every time they put one on. Good luck.

i have 37 huge plants and not 1 visible tomato yet! i am dying here. Yesterday I applied some spray to set fruit...nothing yet. I am wondering if I should put a little lime at the base of each plant, any ideas? Help. If I use eggshells, how many per plant?

Are you regularly fertilizing your tomato plants? If so DON"T. You will have lush gorgeous leaves and no fruit. Hold back. Also as far as eggshells go, I just keep adding more throughout the growing season as I use them. Good luck.
