 Hey y'all, Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for trees struck by lighting. I have a great 27 yr. old live oak that sustained a good amount of damage, the bark is split open about 4 ft. up from the ground on one side and about a 2 ft. long split on the opposite side. I allow how any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have had two trees hit with lightning. One survived as only the top was hit, but the other went almost to the ground and the tree died. I don't want to dissappoint you but you probably have fire wood. I would wait and watch, but you will probably need to plant another tree.
